Helvellyn Triathlon 2014

I have been qualified as a Personal Trainer for 2 years, now working freelance with clients in Darlington, Durham, North Yorkshire and Teesside. I previously worked at Puregym Newcastle, delivering many different styles of exercise class, including Spin, Pump, Abs, Tabata… in fact you name it, I have done it! 

I enjoy working with a variety of clients, each of whom have their own personal motivations and goals. I love being part of their journey in helping them to achieve those goals.

When I moved to Darlington I joined the gym and regularly trained about 3-4 times a week (always avoiding that treadmill!). Somehow and somewhere along the line I got into running (10k’s and 10 milers) which became long distance off-road running (20+ miles), which has since become long distance triathlons (including a half ironman distance in the lakes last year)!

As a result of the progression in my own training and fitness I have developed knowledge of nutrition and writing training programmes for myself. The next logical step seemed to be to put this experience, knowledge and passion to use and help other people achieve goals they never thought possible! I am passionate about fitness and exercise and I truly believe that we do not know what we (our bodies) are capable of unless we try!


What I offer…

I aim to provide a personal training service that truly is personal to each individual. That is why the initial consultation is the most important part of the overall experience, as I can learn about your goals and objectives, exercise likes and dislikes, and you can learn about my approach and the support I can provide. My aim is to build a partnership to help you achieve your goals.

I will develop programmes that will be challenging to maximise your results. We will undertake a fitness assessment which will be used to inform the focus of your fitness programme and will ensure that we have a baseline to work form, allowing for a results focussed approach.

I understand that exercising and physical activity is just part of our lives and therefore needs to be fitted in around many other commitments. As such, I offer a flexible service, allowing you to decide upon the level of support you require, whether this be a 4 week programme written for you to follow in your own time or one to one support sessions.
